Design Philosophy We approach landscape design as a collaborative exercise in understanding nature (the geography of the site), understanding culture (the spirit and the people who will use the landscape), and understanding the character of the materials (the plants and constructed elements of the landscape). The Design Process Before we begin your landscape design we need to get to know you and your site. A thoughtful evaluation of your current landscape, as well as your new envisioned landscape will help you in working with us. Please refer to our Landscape Survey Form to see the types of questions we ask. Next comes the site inventory and analysis when we consider and evaluate the light, exposure, moisture, and soil conditions, and lastly, the maintenance requirements of the site. From this collaboration evolves a landscape design. Depending on the complexity of the project we produce drawings ranging from a sketch to a certified architectural plan. The next step is to review the plan with you and solicit your feedback. Your feedback is incorporated into the final design. For more information please send us an email from the Contact
